'88 XJ...no wiperstRustyK5 05-31-2005, 11:59 PM I cannot find the wiper fuse on the fuse block on our Cherokee. Am I blind or what? I just replaced the ignition switch and everything works except for the wipers. I'd have to say the two are related, and was assuming I did something to blow the wiper fuse while under the dash. I have checked the entire fuse panel 4 or 5 times and not one slot is labelled wipers. For giggles I pulled each fuse and all check out fine... Help? Rene 89ltd 06-05-2005, 11:32 AM wiper washer on the 88 is a circut breaker not a fuse, but is plugged in to the fuse block. It is just below the directional flasher, not the 4 way, if your FRONT washer doesn't work also, then it is brobably the breaker, 5.5 amp. 89ltd 06-05-2005, 11:34 AM also, go to this link and download the 88 fsm, (factory shop manual ) it is 16 meg, hope you don't have dial up...... http://www.lunghd.com/Downloads_and_Links/Downloads.htm 89ltd 06-08-2005, 10:08 PM tRustyK5 06-11-2005, 08:56 PM Found and fixed the problem. I must have gotten a little ham fisted while fixing the iggy switch...found the wiper module plug not seated fully. Still runs like crap, but at least I can see again when it's raining. Thanks. Rene Stick89 06-12-2005, 12:16 AM If you have intermittant wipers, try discoin the intermittant module. It's a little "black box" drivers side velcored to the lower half of the inside of the dash... tRustyK5 06-12-2005, 03:46 PM That 'black box' being disconnected was my problem. As soon as it was plugged back in we had wipers again. Rene Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
