uNIDENTIFIED NOISE

My 96 Grand Am Has Been Making A Noise Like A Helicpoter When The Windows Are Closed For The Past Several Weeks. The Problem Is Also Starting To Shake My Stearing Wheel. This Issue Began Soon After The Wheels Were Rotated, Front End Alighned, Brakes And Rotors Replaced. Service Techs Can't Seem To Figure Out The Problem. Can Anyone Help??? Thanks!!

Re: uNIDENTIFIED NOISE

Sounds like a bad belt in one of the tires, but if a tech couldn't find that than I'm stumped.

It also may be a bad wheel bearing. when they get really bad they tend to sound like a helicopter. By the way if the tech couldn't find that noise, I would highly recommend bringing the car some place else... who knows what else they've overlooked. Welcome to the forums.

Re: uNIDENTIFIED NOISE

Deffinately sounds like a bad wheel bearing(s). I had to replace all 4 in my 01 GA after I rolled it, and after they had gotten worse, at higher speeds they pulsed / roared, like the helicoptor sound you're describing.
