street port?ghostrx7 05-31-2005, 09:09 AM im gettin my engine as soon as my check comes in the mail. should i get the streetport for 400 extra? it says it adds about 30 hp. anyone got a streetport and is it worth it? im gonna need a computer and clutch already. not sure if i should save the money for somethin else. 88 anniversary- straight exhaust, intake, fcd, short shifter, t timer. drftk1d 05-31-2005, 02:46 PM dude if your engine is out of your car and is apart, you'd be crazy not to streetport it. Soyo 05-31-2005, 05:25 PM mine is getting rebuilt and street ported right now, I'll let you know what I think when I get it back next week FDTT 06-01-2005, 01:56 PM I have an agressive streetport on my motor and love it. Loads more power and it even sounds nicer :P But dealing with aircare is a beatch, need to hook the air pump back up and remove the check valve so its geting loads of fresh air into the exhaust. That way it passes :P Aruba27 06-02-2005, 11:27 PM hm... i'm probably going to do a rebuild soon, and i'm probalby doing aggressive street port as well. good thing smog isn't an issue in texas! FDTT 06-06-2005, 03:23 AM its ok tho, easiest way to get it to pass is to pull the o2 sensor and run the air pump directly to the exhaust, cleans it right up :P ghostrx7 06-06-2005, 11:36 PM thanks for the tip!
