Angry 96 Grand AM will not start

Hello all,

I have a 1996 Pontiac Grand am 2.4L. The car would not start up so I changed the fuel filter to see if it was a fuel problem. I finally got the car started and drove it around for a bit. The problem comes when I turn the car off, when I try to start it again it will come on briefly then the idle would be rough and would die about 1 min later. If I try to start it up after it cools down it runs fine but if I try to start it up after it is warm I run into the problem. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum It sounds like your fuel pump could be dying. Fuel pumps that are bad often run fine when cool, but after they get heated up they start to lag / bog down and aren't able to supply enough fuel. I would reccomend changing your fuel pump.
