Hey all, dunno if swearing is allowed in these forums, I just need to exemplify a point though, my beloved 88 toy is fuckeeeed, but I would genuinely appreciate ne and all help, cuz I really love the thing. Let me go back two days ago, I bought an ugly blue, rusted, door sagging, cab sagging left, body off the frame under the driver seat mounting point, 88 toy 4x4 for 500 bucks. let me go back one day ago, it started to backfire like crazy some of the time when decelerrating, ne info on whats goin on with that would be helpful. Next let me go back to maybe 5 hours ago. After drinking down at the beach, I proceeded to follow my friend leaving the beach. After getting into 3rd gear and shifting into 4th gear, when I push the clutch in it makes a whirring grinding noise up until I switch gear and let my foot off the clutch. Naturally freaked out I pulled over at a shell gas station and thought hmmm maybe if I let it cool down it will all go away. went in bought a sandwhich and another beer and jumped back in the truck. NOW GUESS WHAT, it won't start!. Had sum local doodz come over and help me push start the thing, whaammmooo it started right up, but like before, everytime I push the clutch in it makes that irritating whining grinding noise. Got sick with life and decided to limp the truck home. The engine still runs fine, but I think I fucked sumthing up with the clutch, although I have no idea, I read sumwhere that toyota clutch seals leak, so maybe all I have to do is keep the clutch fluid topped off, if so, where is the fill thing for the clutch fluid?. Im really not mechanically inlined in any way, but I love the truck. Its loud, stands tall, and the chicks dig it, well over here newayz, gotta love the local beaterzzz. NEwayz, please help me out, and if I wrote too much im sorry cuz I finally limped the truck home and am all pissed off cuz this is a sunday and its memorial day weekend and im stuck at home. FUCCCK :smokin:

throw out bearing???....crud....that sounds like sumthing I can't do by myself. Yeah I know I drink and drive, got nothing better to do here. Sounds kinda sad, but I don't think of myself as a bad ass or nothing. Newayz, that sounds kinda expensive. How much $$ would I be looking at if I took it to a shop? is it worth fixing???

my bad,,,,,see I din't know foul language not allowed. Yeah hawaiis got a lot of problemzzz, white mans drugs all over the land. For me, im an alcoholic, so it doesn't really matter. Newayz, far as the truck goes, I have to drop the tranny to change the bearing right?

Yes. The bearing rides on the transmission input shaft and fits in the clutch fork - pushing on the pressure plate fingers.

thanx for the help......problem was actually ummmm a lot more simple than I thought. Only had one bolt holding the tranny to the engine, put it back together, and it works like before thanx for the help thou.
