Hi, for the last week or so, the electric fan by the radiator is on all the time, even when it's cold and I just start it.?
Could it be some kind of sensor ? Can't seem to find one around the fan. Can someone help ?
Thanks, :screwy:

You'll have to replace the fan relay.

I had to replace my relay too, just as a word of advice, GM will rip you about 10-15 bucks for it. Advance auto parts will give it to you for a much cheaper price.

If it's not the relay, then then next step would be to check your thermostat; It may be suck open.

Does anyone know where the cooling fan relay would be for a '92 Ciera?
I looked all over under the hood and can't find one. I 'spose I could go to the library and see if the Chiltons manual might have it.

My book shows it behind the passenger side headlight, 2nd from the outside.

Genuinly those relays will prevent the fan from coming on at all once they are toast but it is possible. My $$ is on the CTS sensor cuz its causing your car ecm to misread coolant temp. good luck.
