how much boost safe on dohc zc motor
How much boost can I run on a dohc zc motor d16a9 it has 50 thousand miles and is running great.

its not boost its horsepower that matters. d series are good to about 250-260 whp but only 220-230 whp safely.

Also, you only want to run as much boost as you can without getting detonation.

sigh. boost is boost. airflow is airflow. if you have 20psi on a turbo that flows 10lb/min its not the same as 20psi on a turbo that flows 30. to ask what psi to run. first let us know the turbo!!!

Exactly, boost doesn't equal horsepower, airflow does.
