I got a 91 F-150 with a 5.0 and a 5-speed, its got 150,000 miles. 20,000 miles the clutch was changed. 3 months ago both of my motor mounts broke and about a week later my transmission mount did the same. I'm in college and work so at the time i didn't have time to fix it, a week ago i changed all of my mounts. When i was done, i started it and hit the clutch, it made a metal grinding revolting sound. My friend told me it sounded like my throwout bearing. He said when torque was applied to my driveline when all those mounts were broken it caused pressure to be put heavly on certain spots. After everything was put back in line it makes all sorts of noises I've never heard. When i start out and hit the clutch my truck shakes violently until I'm off the clutch. My buddy said my flywheel needs to be resurfaced. Can anyone tell me how much a throwout bearing of flywheel costs or would i be best of buying a whole clutch assembly? Thanks for your time, sorry about the legnth.
