My 96 Cherokee Country will start okay but wont stay at idle unless I keep my foot on the gas. As soon as I stop pushing on the accelerator it quits.
Recently it needed a jump start after leaving the hedlights on. Problem started after that.
Also its been raining a lot.
Any ideas?
Thanks for replies.

Sounds like you may have a bad fuel pump. have someone put a fuel pressure gauge on it should have at least 39 lbs. at idle. snap the throttle quickly whe checking pressure to see how much pressure drops. Dale jeepman600@sbcglobal.net :crying: :2cents:
