Ford F-150 airbag light stays on

Hi,i have a F-150 1998 and his airbag light is flickering as it starts but stays on as the vehicle is running. The airbag is not deployed. What can be faulty , is it the whole airbag that i must replace or is it a wire that can be the problem? Can someone help me with that?

Re: Ford F-150 airbag light stays on

You really need to have the codes scanned. Yu will need to find someone with a Ford scanner or a high dollar scanner like Snap-On, Genesis and so on. The most likely cause is the clockspring in the steering wheel, but have the code read before you start taking it apart.
