Been Meaning to ask... what's your MPG?
I remember when I first bought my truck I was getting about 32 MPG. It's been 4 years now, 2 accidents, 1 new Alt, 1 new cat, 2 new batteries, 4 new injectors, plus the normal plugs, filters etc.
But now i'm only getting about 21mpg, and that's if i'm taking it easy. So I'm starting to wonder WTF happened. Just wondering what everyone elses MPG was at, so I know what to shoot for. Oh, I got a 2.2L BTW.

If I don't go off roading about 25 with my carburated 2.8L Auto 4x4 Blazer.
Try a full tune up, but also aparently the gas is getting even worst, so that could be your problem.

Re: Been Meaning to ask... what's your MPG?
I have about 160K on mine. When I replaced the injectors I did clean out the inside of the intake manifold, but that was at 100k. Besides just the normal filter change no. How would I go about this? When I look down the intake tubes they all look pretty clean, don't know about that big tank that sits ontop of the fan shroud though.

Re: Been Meaning to ask... what's your MPG?
I've got a 93 4.3L auto 151,000 miles. Has HEAVY front end damage (the kid who had it before me smashed it into a tree). I patched the radiator with JB Weld, and did no other repairs (other than pulling the bumper back to almost where it should be), so it's less aerodynamic than stock. The frame is bent, throwing the tracking way off ("dogtracks" at least 4 inches), and the toe is set in too much. With all this going against me, I got 30.09 MPG the only time I drove a full tank highway (70 MPH), at that was with a headwind and going up and down hills.
Have you replaced your 02 sensor(s)? If it's OBDI, it has one, OBDII has 2, for the 4 cylinder models. 95 or older is OBDI for sure, 98 or newer is ODBII for sure. 96 or 97 could be either.

So I go to this get-together at a friends house, not remembering it's a few days before Halloween. I see a bunch of dirty looking strangers. Then I see a guy that was clearly wearing a Halloween costume and I make the connection, and say "Oh yeah, Halloween... y'all goin' as a group of bums?". Turns out they weren't wearing costumes.

Re: Been Meaning to ask... what's your MPG?
i know i have 2 o2 sensors. One right at the end of the exhaust manifold, the other right after the cat. The one on the manifold is a single wire and the one after the cat is a 4 wire. I do remember now getting a check engine code for the cat one, but erased it once and never came back. Figured it for just a glitch, and if it was really broke the stupid light would come back on.
I don't trust the stupid light cause I get a code (forgot the number) that says my 4x4 over ride switch is bad. But I don't have 4x4. Ehh?

Re: Been Meaning to ask... what's your MPG?
Read J-Ri's acetone link, and it might help explain his mileage.
I was probably only getting 15 - 18 on my 2.8L 4x4 with 4:10 or 4:11 gears before I tried it, and afterwords I was getting about 25.
With the good carb that I finally got on my Blazer today I'm hoping on gettting better.
Just to keep things fair. I use the U.S gallon for my figures

Ohh, duh, I read the article, but I didn't put 2 and 2 together. I am wondering if I should try that...sounds like a plan to me.
