96 neon tranny pump!! help!!

have to replace the "main pump seal" on my tranny. If I understand corrctly to do this I need to remove the tranny from the car, then under the torque converter there are like 8 bolts. once removed you remove the cover and there it is... not sure if this is correct but I do know I have to do this ASAP as this is my work car and I don't want to damage it. Can someone tell me exactly how to do this??
