Question Squeak

I am a pretty mechanically inclined but i have a problem with my 97 chevy 1500 4x4 i have a squeak (it sounds like rubber squeeking on metal) comming from the rear end area...it only does it when going from 0-10 mph sometimes...(it doesnt sound like a suspension squeak from the body moving)..i have tried to put it on jack stands while in gear and it doesnt make the noise (not long enough to hear where its comming from) the rear end is full of oil..the tires arent scrubbing nothing is near the tires..the brakes are fine...nothing is hitting or rubbing on the drive shaft any ideas

I've got a 91 GMC truck doing the same thing. It doesn't make the noise in reverse. I was told to check my U-joint. It does sound like that's what it is. Not in a hurry to change it though.
