Angry Starting issues....

I have major starting issues, regardless what time of day it is. I have had a little problem with fourth gear slipping a little. The pump will switch on, and when i go to push the clutch pedle in and go to turn it over...nothing. repeat step one...nothing AND if im lucky it will start. After a run to the store, or to school and leave sit for two, three hours tops, go to turn it over...nothing. repeat step one...and perhaps it will start. PLS help as it is my only vehical...

It's sounds like you need new spark plugs. Sameting happen to me when i first got my car. It would be a damn act of GOD to get the damn thing to come on and when on, you had to give lots of gas to keep running. Try taking the sparks off and examine them, if they black, then they whack!! Seriously though, try that. Do you have to jump it to get it to come on when you encounter this problem.

Re: Starting issues....

Dude... Paint it lime green, put a big assed wing on it and blow it up. Tell them 88Rex stole it. Get a new one and start fresh. (If he ever comes back here he's gonna be REALLY pissed that I keep flaming him... HAHAHAHAHOHOHHOHHEHEHE!)

(Sounds to me like you've got a short someplace.)

Sorry dude couldn't resist.

Let's get more indepth here, when you say nothing, you mean nothing, no pump or no starter?

I'm thinking neutral safety switch on this one, seen a few of em go bad like this.

Re: Starting issues....

Yeah, but I thnk the issue has been knocked around enough. Were all guilty.

Anyway, Shinigami2x4:

when it's not doing anything, assuming no starter, try and verify if it's getting power through the ignintion & neutral safety/

Re: Starting issues....

It does not require a jump to start, and when i click acc. before you turn over to start. i can hear the pump whining, then i push the clutch in and..no start...where would the Neutral safety be located at?
