Finally...a race!!!!
I was cruising about 70mph on the freeway and I see a 3rd gen Z28 with the wing. It passes me cruising around 80 so I debate, should I go for it or should I not. I do...
I catch up to him going 90, 95 and pass him and am quite a ways ahead him. He doesn't do anything so I slow down to about 75 and wait for him. He pulls in the lane next to me and we go for it. Were going 100,110.
No matter how hard he tried he never got ahead of me, he was behind me or right at my bumper for about 5 min., it doesn't seem long but racing that's a long time, then I hit my exit and got off.
Kinda surprised that he didn't pass me, he had plenty of opportunities. I thought those Z28's were pretty fast.
It was fun but don't plan on going that fast for a while.
Glad I finally got one.
I have a 91 RS 305 TBI just incase you were wondering.....

Either he wasn't interested in passing you or his engine was sick. Even a 305 TPI will beat the pants off of a TBI.

Re: Finally...a race!!!!
might want to refrase that one... i would have to disagree. i believe that a 305tpi will beat a 305 tbi but it wont beat the pants off of it. I raced a 305 tpi manual with gears and i have a 305tbi auto and he barely took me...and he does know how to drive it just wasnts shitty shifting
