Question camaro Dual snorkel air cleaner

Will that kind of air cleaner FIT on a (92rs) tbi 305 it looks neat plus is a bit better then the orignal. I can get it cheap and start my own custom intake.. Or should I just get a new after market

Re: camaro Dual snorkel air cleaner

You can't really find aftermarket intakes for the 305 TBI's, i've looked. The dual snorkel is a good idea, but while your at it you could always make a cold air intake, that's what I did.

Re: camaro Dual snorkel air cleaner

I know for a little while they made dual. You gonna buy that one?
You should make your own cold air, it's pretty easy and does keep your engine cooler

Naw I'm not buying that one I will attempt to make my own but you said I would have to sacifice looks I'm big on that not to metion I'm not a top ter machanic. One more thing I know if a buy a dual snorkel and run the hoses where the fog lights would be that would serve as an intake.

No, I said you would'nt have to sacrafice looks....
Yes to your question about the hoses, sometime this week i'm going to figure out how I can put tubes in both fog light holes and run it to one snorkel.....If you have any ideas it would help.

Re: camaro Dual snorkel air cleaner

The only why to run those hoses are to remove the hood bumper tray the black part that surrounds the hood latch. RS's are made a bit different I think it would require mod to the fan/ because it sure is in the way.

what ever happened to the open element air cleaner, i got one w/ a three inch filter and got some decent throttle response increase from it. yes it will be sucking in hotter air but not much hotter than the stock one if any cause it pulls air from just about a foot infront of where the open element is and dosent get much fresh air. and if u want u can remove the seal at the back of the hood to make fresh air come into the engine bay but i didnt do it was affraid to get water on the distributor, but alot of people at the strip do it. so i would either get an open element or make your own cold air intake either way looking at about thirty bucks plus the filter cost

No, u run it in front of the radiator and take it up in the opening behind your turn signal. Check out your car and you'll see what i'm talking about.
I go under then up, not just up
You have to be a little creative.....

Re: camaro Dual snorkel air cleaner

Those dual snorkel air cleaners from the 4bbl 305s only came on fbodys before 86 and only on ones with the 305 HO motor. They are a bitch to find now though.
