front bumper and fog lighthomer9901 05-24-2005, 01:07 PM I have a 96 grand am gt and one of the fog lights in the bumper is burnt out. how hard is it to change as i cant get my hand in there to take the bulb out. Knifeblade_03 05-24-2005, 06:07 PM They are real hard to deal with. I could get my hand in after prying loose the cover under the lens, but could never get the cover to re-align with the mount bolts back on right. This may help ya out, http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?ForwardPage=/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/0e/5b/23/0900823d800e5b23.jsp Hoags 05-25-2005, 10:59 AM I just changed one on my 96 GT. I had to loosen the bottom plastic cover that is under the bumper facia and runs up into the wheel well, After that I was able to move it aside and reach in to remove the socket/bulb assembly by giving it a twist. Make sure when you change the bulb that you use a cotton glove or cloth to hold the new bulb, I used a sock, that way you don't get any of the oils from your fingers on the bulb {shortens bulb life}. I then relpaced the socket then the cover. Like knifeblade said it is difficult the first time I had to change a bulb, I have only had to do it a couple of times, the car has 115,000 miles so I guess a few fog light bulbs is not that many. Good luck, if I can do it any one should be able. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
