You may have a director door stuck - this would keep the flow in a certain direction, no matter how you turned the knob. The only way to fix this would be to get back under the dash and try to figuire out which door is stuck.

Thanks Ridenour...I will definately check that tomorrow but what are the possibilites of it maybe being a broken vacuum line...b/c there is one broken over the accumulator...and I'm not sure but could a mysterious unplugged wire be the perp. here? get back at me...later and thanks again

Re: 95 Grand Am A/C Vent Prob.

Fab, it could be a broken vac line if it is the vac line going to the vac actuator for the directional door that controls flow to the dash vents. If not then I would agree with Sir Ride, a stuck door. As for an unplugged wire, I don't think that the door is controlled electronicly, the unfortunate thing about wires behind the dash is that there can be many that are part of the main harness the would go to an accessory that you don't have. I wish that GM would put some type of lable on these empty wires so that guys like us dont go nuts trying to find out where they go.

I hope this helps,
Dan
