Aftermarket Stereo Installation?

Sorry i post so much but i got my grand am gt recently and am working on it alot. Ok, i have a 2002 grand am gt with the monsoon stereo. I wanted to install my pioneer headunit into the car. I heard things about there being an external amp in the trunk for my monsoon head unit. I do not know if this is the case or if there is anything special besides wiring harness and fill around kit? Any special wiring or anything i need to do to install this stereo?

Hey, don't worry about the number of posts, it is best to keep all the different subjects seperate any way. Go ahead and post away.

As for the head unit, I can't really help out too much, I have heard that there are issues concerning the Monsoon system and the addition of after market components. I'm sure that other members will have some input for you.
Good luck.
