Re: decal

Hard to explain without pictures, but I'll give it a go for ya.

1] Mask-tape off al surrounding paint areas where the decal came off, you have to think of spray pattern overspray which should become more apparent soon. I would also toss some newspaper around, like ya see the body shops do when they mask off an area before painting. mask off all the area that is not needed for re-attachment of the decal.

2] mask off the attached area of the decal, just put some paper over it, thick, several pages worth, tape above and below the decal where the paper will cover the attached part of the decal.

3] Go to any auot-parts store, or maybe a crafts-store or hardware store, and get a can of spray adhesive. It doesn't have to be high-tack, just a good general purpose spray adhesive.

4] K, now think of the exact area where the loose decal will re-attach to the body. Everything around that area should be masked off to prevent overspray. Spray that area [the body itself], very lightly once, allow a few minutes, respray again, and use a wood ruler, a dowel, anything soft to press the decal back to the body, working from the immediate unattached part [where the decal is still attached] to the end of the unattached decal. Idea is to keep all bubbles out. Kind of like applying decals to plastic models.

5] Once reattached, and if ya did it right, put a folded piece of towel [bulked up to put pressure on the decal] over the decal and tape it on for an hour. Do this after removing all the masking material.

Sorry, but it very hard to describe without a pic. for ya, but hope this helps.
