Rear transmission seal

I need to replace my rear seal on my 2001 Rodeo, Automatic, 2 wheel drive. Do I need to unbolt the drive shaft on the front & back or can I unbolt the back & slip it out? Tried that & can't seem to get it to move. Also I have a leak on right side in the area of the accumulator cover. Is this something I can replace or do I need to take it to dealer? Thanks, Royce

Re: Rear transmission seal

Are you the first owner and under 120K if so the dealer will replace them for free.

If you are the 2nd owner and under 60k they will replace it for free.

I'm the 2nd owner, with over 100,00 miles on vehicle , so warranty won't cover it. Thanks
