What can I expect from my 318ti

Have a 95 318ti. Have had it for about 5 years. I just went over 100K miles and I'm wondering what to expect in the future.

I'm not poor, but my finances are such that I probably couldn't handle a really major repair. Especially at BMW prices. I have a great mechanic that I've been going to for 10 years though, so that helps.

If properly maintained, how many more miles can I expect from this bad boy? Any worries about the engine or transmission that I should be concerned about? Anything specific I should look for.

I'm not a gearhead, but I am capable of doing some of my own work after researching it thoroughly.

It's been a great car up to this point, but I want to do as much preventative maintenance as possible so I can drive this thing until the wheels fall off.
