im looking into getting exhaust for my talon, i want it to be barely legal lol.. was looking into passetter header and then custom pipeing out the back but with what muffler? anyone have any suggestions? maybe the passetter catback aka monza? HELPPP i want this to work for the summer

We don't know whether or not your car is turbo. Try putting your info in your sig.

Pacesetter makes crap. Try going with the full exhaust for now, turbo or not, and see where you're at before commiting to a header. The custom piping you're writing about will work. Two and a half or three inches would be good for a turbo car. Three now if you'd rather not upgrade later. Non turbo's go with 2.25 and 2.5 inches. Weld to an aftermarket muffler. I've heard Magnaflow sounds nice for the money.

I'm not sure what your concerns are for being legal. If you're worried about emissions, weld in a high flow cat. If you're worried about noise restrictions, get a resonator. The Magnaflows I've heard on 2g's haven't been obnoxious. Pretty quiet, at least. If you want to keep legal with sounds restrictions, look up your state laws for allowed decibel ratings, and how far from your exhaust the test is taken. Then, call up different manufacturers and see if they have decibel info.

if it's a 2g non turbo and you aren't worried about emissions....have go header with 2.5 inch back with just the cat and resonator...no muffler. it's pretty loud...pretty cool too. i had it like that for a summer.
