Unhappy HELP,97' 1500 305ci, Fuel overload in Cyls.

I need someones expert insight into my trucks problem, A little background, 1997, Vortec 305 111k miles new GM installed fuel pump and sending unit at 100K miles. What is happening is when the key is turned to the on position and the fuel sys. is up to pressure it seems to overload or flood the cyls. with fuel. this is the 2nd time this has happend. The first time was @ 106k miles, no start just cranking over, I checked the fuel pressure that was good,Spark was good,Plugs were dripping with fuel, replaced plugs and she fired up,That was a headache.
Yesterday get home from a trip,go to fire my truck which had been sitting for 3 days and no start and wet plugs, after messing with it sunday night to no avail ,talked to my dad in which he clued me in on an old machanics tip, pull each spark boot off each cyl. so it is barely touching the plug, somthing to do with GMs HEI, anyway i tried it and she fired up once all the smoke from the burnt fuel cleared she idled fine
for ten mins. So I turned her off and started her back up, 2 more times no prob, Wife gets in an hour later same condition ,just cranking and smells like its flooded. any suggestions as to why this is happening??
Thanks in advance,Ron
I have checked all the post for similar issues,None found.

Please look at this post: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...67#post3090467

I think your problem is also the FPR. Run the same test I outlined in the above post and post your results.
