replaced f-100 axle seal

I just replaced the axle seal on the pass rear of my 76 4X4. I've never done this before and am not sure if I put it back together right.
When it is in gear idling [on stands] only the drivers side wheel turns. In neutral you can manually turn the pass side wheel and it also turns the other side. If you manually turn the drivers side it is the only one that turns. Did I install it correctly or did I mess up?

Re: replaced f-100 axle seal

You are OK. That is the way the rear end is designed. It is not a limited slip and only one axle really does the pulling.
