also one important question, is how much power do you want to make ? you aint gonna make people rethink the d series unless your throwing down 500whp

I understand a 14b is dinky but will spool up when i need it when I go autcrossing. The intercooler is not specifically for the 14b, as in the 14b is a temp fix so I can start building it. Also a streetable 200whp from the 14b is a temp goal. I guess if I'm going to upgrade to a T-series I have been thinking about the T3/T4 if I want Drag purpose power. Obviously its a Honda and I'm not rich, so 500, well it would be tough wouldn't u say, but who in this class has a DOHC at 500hp??? If i wanted raw horsepower in a d-series, it is a waste of money in my case. I do not mean this set up for drag, where 500 horse would hinder an autoX event- would it not? Esp in a civic like mine. Very unusable and unnecessary horse. I dont mean for the d-series to be more powerful than any b-series. My purpose is to make people rethink the D-series, in a unique agile and responsive setup. I guess you could say I want 200-300whp in this unque setup, striving for response and reliability. I guess I should reword my purpose, Shed a new light on the d-series stereotype. thank you.

Hey, I'm sorry...that message I just wrote sounds a little offensive, please do not take it that way, I appreciate everyones response, I just like to express myself. And about the intercooler, should I save money and run without one until I get a diff turbo set up or should I just 14b it for a while?

if you want it bad enough, you can get it. if you want it for autoxing then a smaller turbo is good so it spools early

if your poor then 500hp is nowhere in your future. 200-300whp is easly do able on a 14b! the 14b has propeled 1g dsm's into the 11's. Turbos are strait forward. they have flowcharts to show you what to lb/min air flow at certin psi's. the most important thing about a trubo setup is supporting the turbos effency range. a 14b is probably the best budget turbo i know of. autocross, drag, street, its a great 30/lb min turbo and can be had for $100 relitivly easly online.

there is no way i would ever run a 14b or any other turbo without an intercoler. if your only going to be running 10-15lb boost i would suggest a supra sidemount, or rre sidemount. you could add a $120 water injection into the throddle elbow to help detination and reduce tb/intake/charded air temps. water injection is a bad ass tool!!

you can really spend as much as you want to on parts. but with a little reading, resarching, looking you can get into the 12's with a 14b/vtec setup for around 2 grand.
