I've heard that armor-all will dry stuff out.
Expecially if you use the armor-all for a while, then change to some other product.

For that reason, I haven't done anything, just wipe with a towel. But what do you guys use????

What about mink oil for the leather?

I use Supreme Sheen which is comes in a spray can and is by far the best stuff i have used.
Use it on dash/tyres etc.
Dont know if you get it in USA

As a former detailer, I can tell you that I don't recommend Armor All. It does dry and eventually crack your dash. It's a nice look (shiny), but it gets really dirty if not cleaned and re-applicated often. If applicated in sunlight, the overspray can etch the inside of the windshield, I just use a wet towel to take off the dust and dirt. Really, that's the best for your dash. Also, you should NEVER spray glosser in your engine bay (i.e.- radiator hoses). It WILL crack your radiator hoses in time, strip the white diagrahms off the fuse boxes, and will chemically etch any polished parts, plus it smells nasty. Again being a wet coating in the engine bay attracts a lot of dirt. Kinda pointless, what are ya gonna do? Show off your engine to everyone all the time?

i use a lot of california interior duster since my interior is black and dust is just too damn obvious.

you should try some meguires leather treatment spray thingie. I use it once in a while on a cloth and lightly wipe onto the dash and leather. I use it all the time on my tires and it's a matt finish. it's great. Im not a fan of that armorall shiny finish as everything looks like plastic and also if your dash is shiny, it makes it impossible to see during the day from the reflection on the windsheild. hahaha.:bandit:

yep, try some of that computer air duster can. works great. but problem is that once you open the door to get out, dust starts collecting already. dohhhh!

btw, any of you guys have suggestions wiping the inside of the winshield and windows? I've been having a terrible time trying to rid this oily residue that keeps building up within about 2 weeks. it clouds the glass. anyone know what this is from and how to get rid of it? I tried windex and it made it worse. so I started just wiping with a dry cloth and dry paper towel..seems to work, but still leaves a light smear.

thanx.

Use newspaper on windows with non-streak formula. Wipe up to down on outside and left to right on inside, that way you know where your streaks are. As far as nocks and crannys, get a toothbrush and q-tips. Brush your teeth 3 times a day and be sure to floss!

Cool tip about wiping in different directions - I shall do this from now on, you know it makes sense.

Damn, I've been using Armor All not to make my dash look shiny, but to protect it from cracking. Now I find out it does the opposite. Is there a similar product out there that will PROTECT my dash from cracking?
