and know where the oil pressure sending unit is?

I have a 95 talon, esi. And am about to pull what is left of my hair out trying to find this thing. I thought I had it and was told I pulled the knock sensor out of the car.

What i pulled is shown, but not labeled on page 2A-14, in 12.10.

See the oil filter? look just to the right at the sensor sticking out of the block. That is what I pulled off. The same part is on page 6-11 in 10.1a. You can just make it out to the right of the crank shaft position sensor, sticking out of the block.

Is that the oil pressure sending unit?

if i'm not mistaken, there's 3 sensors on the back of the block. there's the crank position sensor, another sensor in the middle of the block which the guy at the parts store diagnosed to you as the knock sensor, and there should be one more close to the tranny too, up a little bit on the block. try that one and see if that works.

You are correct. The oil pressure sending unit is tucked way back in there. Not an easy part to reach. I did get it out, new one in, and all is well. The flickering oil light is gone.

Wait, so the one in the middle is the knock sensor? I was told is was the oil pressure sensor. If this is true, I now have problem...

I hooked my oil pressure sender unit for the gauge up to it. Did a T-fitting and hooked it up. No wonder its not working. Any idea on what I should do?

I think they do. So, If I just replace the stock oil pressure sender with the aftermarket and NOT have the old one hooked up at all, is the light going to stay on constantly? or just never come on? I dont want to make a t fitting again. And you say its all the way on closer to the tranny right? I noticed that one before.

Ok, the so the light doesnt come on at all.

Hey Bill... How did you take off the stock one? I tried getting it off for over an hour. Its a bitch to get to. Really cant get a good grip on it with any of my crap-ass tools. How did you get your out? Thanks
