Grinding noise when cold

Sounds like a bearing on water pump, alternator, air conditioner or pulley of some sort especially when turning the wheel like the power steering pump squeals. Would that also sound like a bearing if the steering pump is going out. When warmed up good it dosen't do it. 540i
Thanks
