Jsrc2kCivic_GSR 05-13-2005, 02:41 PM Well I got a chance to get a JSRC for about a grand and I was wondering what exactly came with a complete JSRC kit? Whats needed for it to run properly? is the kit kind of like a turbo kit with injectors and FMU's etc etc? I did a search and all I could find were sites that sold the kit. They didnt exactly say what came with it..just wanted to know so if i actually did get it..the seller wouldnt rip me off with parts. Thanks. Late. sivic02 05-14-2005, 02:51 PM www.jacksonracing.com I am not sure of your trim so I dont know what SC you are talking about, different things come with different kits such as the street kits/ race kits, etc. sivic02 05-14-2005, 02:53 PM Oh and about the fuel managment, I am really not sure what it would come with because the only ones I have looked at are for my car which comes with a reflash which wont be an option for you. I would suggest getting maybe an apexi vafc and dont forget to get it tuned on a dyno before you go out giving it hell so you dont blow your engine! 2kCivic_GSR 05-14-2005, 08:19 PM The seller says that the kit comes with manifold, charger, all pulleys, relays, and hardware for install. Also I will need an fmu and In tank or inline fuel pump. He also mentions that he just removed the JSRC and he found a "hairline" crack that he fixed with JB weld and grinded down. The crack was on the Intake part of the charger. So because of that the new price is $800...is all that really worth it? Thanks for your reply. sivic02 05-14-2005, 11:07 PM Even if it is cheap that crack might steer me away. The last thing you want is to pay 800 for it and have it crap out on you after a couple weeks. Also depending on why the crack happened or how bad it is I could see it damaging your engine. Save up and buy it new or used but in better condition. That would be my suggestion. You might want to check with Jackson Racing and ask them about it and see what they would reccomend. Good luck with it man. 2kCivic_GSR 05-15-2005, 11:41 AM yeah thats true, the last thing I need is to spend $800 on the JRSC and then blow my only motor. The more I think about it the seller never really did want to send me any pictures of the JRSC. He offered to let me see it in person but I've been real busy lately with work. But after he already JB welded everything I'm not sure about it anymore, its a real risky decision and I dont think I'm going to buy it. Thanks for your replies. Why do you ask? superbluecivicsi 05-15-2005, 02:57 PM Define harline? a hairline crack that he said he used JB weld would definately require a in person look before purchasing. that harline crack may spread even with jb weld. strange that it occured on the intake side. i personally, would not purchase it though. anyways, unlike other turbo kits, the jrsc kits come with a 5:1 fmu. FMU = POS kris 05-15-2005, 09:23 PM Nope...I Drive a 2000 Civic Ex with a GSR swap. Why do you ask? Si fuel pumps are bigger than the other models. So they don't need to be upgrade as soon as a EX fuel pump would be. Off the top of my head, I think they are 165 LPH. 2kCivic_GSR 05-15-2005, 10:16 PM Si fuel pumps are bigger than the other models. I should check up on that soon. Whats LPH? kris 05-16-2005, 11:35 PM Liters Per Hour. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
