'96 3.1L stalling problem.

I have a '96 3.1L Beretta --

the car starts fine.

idles for a few minutes if nothing is done. but it stalls at seemingly random intervals. of course if driving i put the car in neutral and start it again --
although each time it seems to be stalling more quickly.

when this happens it's as if all power is lost, all the lights are on as if the key was just keyed forward before starting. And no code is thrown.

It happens sometimes when the car is idling//cruising or accelerating or even decelerating. A little of everything.

Sometimes when the car wants to stall the spedo indicator will fall drastically only to rise back up once the engine finds it is still running. Some diagnostic lights will light up when this occurs but quickly turn off when the engine gets back its groove.

Fixed it I think...

-- I had replaced the engine and it seems the nut that holds the negative terminal cable onto the motor ground had come loose. I simply removed the nut and terminal wire, cleaned, then rehooked it back up tightening it as best I could.

Car ran around the block fine. Very much relieved!
