Question newbie question

Hi all, I just bought a 99 jetta and bassed on what I read here its a 99.5. My question is that with the 2.0 and an a/t I took notice that the rpm's seem higher than I am used to.....3000 rpm at 80 mph, do these just perform better at higher rpm's or should I slow down lol.
Thanks

Re: newbie question

Sounds about right. Don't worry, it'll still get great gas mileage.

I know some of the 2.0 had problems with using a lot of oil, so make sure you check the oil level frequently. But basically it seems that the 2.0 is the most reliable engine VW has right now, so just drive and enjoy.
