speedometer bouncing

just started bouncing all over even when stopped. Worked ok the next day. I don't see a cable going into the car, is it electronic?
What do I check from Here. I've read some of the sites, something about vvs, but don't know what that is.

Haha! Dude! The first time I drove a car... I drove a cavalier for drivers traingin... and I saw the needle bouncing on it... and I thought it was cuz I was nervous and my foot was trmbling on the gas pedal... lol

anyways, got in my civic and then it all checked out... that it was just the cav

this was overa year ago but it brought back memories!

more than likely your vehicle speed senor has gone bad.
