Hi people, first post here and i gota question for all you pros. Im having a annoying problem with my 2001 explorer xls 2x4. Every morning i get up and 3 outa the 7 times during the first morning start up the truck will not stay running untill i drive it for like a mile. So i have been having to use brake + gas to get it on down the road. This problem has been getting worse and now it occurs whenever the vehicle sit for around 8 hours so when i get out of work it does it mid day. I would really appreciate all the help, thank you

Check the IAC plunger. Could be starting to hang up. Remove IAC hold it motor side up and pour some oil through the plunger area. If you catch it in a cup you can usually see the crap you rinsed out. You may have to pry the plunger area open "GENTLY" to pour oil through. Motor side up so no oil flows towards motor. Don't know if they have any seals to protect it. Easy fix and only takes about 15 minutes.
