Can My Tahoe make a 1,400 mile road trip?

As the title says....anyway i have a 96 4x2 Tahoe...never really given me any problems....had the radiator repaired a few months ago as well as a new starter in Jan. New tranny was put in it in Dec of 04. Anyway my question is do you think it could make it from Oklahoma to California w/o a problem? would that be putting to much work on the motor? What maintenance should i give on it before i go besides an oil change? Whats the farthest your HOE has ever driven on one trip? (p.s dont be fooled by my username I am a female and I just dont know these things lol).

Last summer, with 100K on the truck I drove about 3000 miles in a week without any problems.

If you have a gasoline-powered Hoe:
-- give it a major tune up (plugs, wires, etc.)
-- have all fluids checked (transmission, differential, power steering, brakes, windshield washer, battery, radiator, etc.)
-- change the fuel filter
-- change the air filter
-- change the oil and oil filter
-- have the wheels aligned
-- get tires dynamically balanced and properly inflated (don't forget the spare)
-- (check your tire pressure and oil level at each fill-up)
-- (Anybody think of anything else?)

If you drive within the speed limit on the highway, your engine will actually be worked less than stop-n-go traffic.

850 miles on February last year.

I logged 1800 miles from NY to TX, another 1000 that same month, and yet 1800 more going back up to NY the next month--at which point my u-joint burned out in the middle of Clarion, PA.
