Early Rodeo Electric Windows
My 1993 LS has had the typical window problems like others. They are slow up and down and especially up, on cold days they don't work and hot while accelerating work much better.
What have you guys done to make them work better without replacing the whole assembly? I have tried oil in the seals and lots of WD-40 to no avail.
Just trying to see how many people have these problems and what you guys have done to cope.. I am thinking about attaching somethe to the window so that I can pull it up easier :-)
Peace,
Christopher Vigil

Re: Early Rodeo Electric Windows
I've replaced 2 regulators and I'm ready to do a third.

I'm just sick of the breaker tripping while doing 70mph down the road. If the geniuses at Isuzu knew this was going to be a big enough problem that they had to install a breaker, the least they could've done was put it somewhere accessible while driving.

Re: Early Rodeo Electric Windows
Wasn't quite sure how to vote; I only have 1 window, the drivers, that has ever given me an issue. It's VERY slow to roll up, if it rolls all the way up at all. But I only have this problem when it's wet outside.
Never had an issue, knock on wood, with any of the other windows/regulators.

3 of 4 electric windows not working and drivers plastic lift broke. Also drivers door switches not working. Dealer wants $215 for them. Anyone know where to get them cheaper?

Re: Early Rodeo Electric Windows
Definitely silicon on the rubber channels and put grease on the regulator tracks. I riveted all the nylon pulleys for the cables to the regulator plate. I've had a couple that just broke from stress.
