Unhappy '04 Cav. Brake Lights Quit

The brake lights on my daughter's '04 Cavalier quit. Everything else works. Don't have access to a wiring diagram, so I can't identify the circuit. Turn signal switch (modul) is not like the ones in my stuff from the '60's. Turn signals work and warning flashers work, even without the brake switch in the harness. Pulled the brake switch and tested with an OHM meter. It's normally closed (On) when the brake pedal is at rest. Goes open (Off) when the brake pedal is pressed. That's very confusing to me.

Any ideas?

Re: '04 Cav. Brake Lights Quit

There is a recall on these taillight problems, I'd check with the dealer.
