I got BAMBI # 8 last night
Well. On my way home from a chicks house about 12:30 last night and blasted another bambi. I was only going about 45 this time instead of 70 This one didnt do much damage as I only hit its head.. it just kinda stuck its head over the yellow line. I guess it was looking to see what the hell was coming at it!! lol I'm to the point where I won't even swerve anymore..I aint dying b/c of a stupid animal. I just slowd down and blew the horn and then BAM*&^#$! It musta knocked the thing for a loop, didnt kill it, but it just stood there inthe road, so I got out my mag-light and walked up to it and stood face to face with it and cusssssed it out! It just stood there shaking its head and stumbled off. It made me feel better, thank God nobody else saw me doing this!!
Oh yeah, all it did is bust some of the grille out and break the driver side headlight mount...Now I can get a Tahoe grille!! WooHoo!!!!

Maybe you should get one of those horns from JC Whitney that plays animal sounds :
http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/P...Group?Ntt=horn
Leave it on 'dog' and play it when you see a deer? Might be cheaper than all the repairs?

Re: I got BAMBI # 8 last night
Man, I dunno. I swear the deer are taking over. I've tried the little whistle things, and they lasted all of a month. I have great insurance, so they pay for it, and my cousin is the best body man/painter in the area, so he hooks me up with parts and such w/ no deductable.
Even Luverne's brush guards didnt stand up...just bashed into the hood and grille/fenders..

Nah, it has to be a pretty sout brush guard. My buddy and I hit a ~200lb Axis buck just outside his ranch in South Texas over spring break. We were doing about 70-75 mph. He has a custom made replacement bumper from some oil company outfitter in Midland, Tx and it's pretty strong, but going that fast still tweaked the mounts and the poor bastard's head took out the fog light. We didn't stop till we got to the ranch front gate and noticed that his license plate was gone. When we went back to look for it we saw that the spot where the deer hit the ground was about 50 ft back from where the deer was now. Needless to say, he was toast. Being that the bumper was a custom job he just took it back to the guys who made it and they straightened and strengthened the mounts. The most expensive part was the new fog light from the Ford house. heh heh.

I'll second the Ranchhand, got one on my truck, saved me a couple of times from having to replace a fender or bumper. They are really made well, the metal used is thick and they are welded good. You know its made well when it take a fork lift and three men to install on your truck.

Re: I got BAMBI # 8 last night
Dude I hunt every frickin year!! They've even upped the kill limit for the last 3 years trying to get the population back down to normal. They are every where!! I think they're inbreeding, they seem more dumb then they used to be....
Oh..I live in the south west part of Georgia..Between Columbus and Albany
