which model is best for Autocross?

I'm thinking of getting into a 1st gen MR2 for autocross use. Which are the best model years and what should I look for/avoid in a used one?

welcome to the wonderful world of mr2's! i couldn't tell you about the mki's, but the best place to start would be to ask on the mr2 board. you can post either in the autox forum or in the mki tech forum
