i was drivin on the highway testin out my car just got it 2 months 96 gsr wit type r head has many mods i took it all the way to 140-145 mph an the check engine light came on then all off a sudden the car shuts off... just like that i pulll over try starting it back but it didnt want 2...whaT U THINK HAPPENED

yea you were probably Granny shiftin' not double clutchin' like you should. you blew welds on the intake! I bet your floor panels fell out too and you had to tell the computer to shut up.

Now the mad scientist and I have to tear the block apart and replace the pistion rings you fried.

Ryan96gsr, I really don't know why your car would have shut down, but you may have seriously f***ed something up in the engine, like scewed up your valvetrain, or something like that.

yes i do when the vtech kicks in the rpm goes crazy it doesnt read right alll im using is the msd coil... and i got the car 2 start i opened the dis cap an re-did the wiring but my wires in there are really messed up

the wire got messed up and shorted maybe?

oh i did also upgraded the brakes system and the suspension system, and i rebulided and re wired the car since last october but didnt rebuild the engine, just changed the belts, everything else was original but was checked to be in good working order too, i wouldnt do that speed either if i didnt work on this car myself!

There should only be two wires that you need to mess with.. If you are messing with anything else, then definately double check them. See if you are getting spark.

one time my car randomly shut off, and it was because the distributing rotar like snap off (no idea how that happened) but this was at a stop light, and i was in a Toyota Camry...
