Wiper problems anyone?

I've got a 98 GP SE, and the wipers are stuck in the upwards position. They work normally, but they dont go down to the normal position when I turn em off...

Did GM ever recall this? I tried to check, but didnt find much...

Any info would be nice

Re: Wiper problems anyone?

Running the wipers when frozen? Thats how my wife did ours. There is a metal tab just above the wiper motor that gets bent. Bend it back in place. When the wiper motor reverses, there is a little arm that catches on that tab and makes it stop in the right place. If it goes past, the wipers stop straight up.
