Angry 99.5 Jetta that runs rough - F.I Wires?

I've got issues with the wife's Jetta!
It sputters, like a cylinder is missing at idle, and when you try to accelerate. It's not much of an issue as long as you don't want the car to climb a hill, or go faster or move for that matter!. AHHH!
It's bad at times.
I've taped up all the plug wire ends to keep them from shorting on the head, but it won't go away. I think it's in the fuel injector wires leading to the # 2 cylinder. If you move them it gets worse. Has anyone else had this happen? Or does anyone have an idea? It's really making the car a pain in the butt to drive from the skipping...

Small rodents tend to eat wires in the engine bay, i guess they think it tastes good or something. If you wiggle the wires for the fuel injector and the misfiring gets worse then the contacts are problably loose or the wires might be shorting together, try to unplug the harness and check the wires for looseness in the connector.

If the harness is bad then you could try repairing the harness or buy a new one, they are about 350 I believe, and arent that hard to replace, just have to remove the top intake moanifold and the wiper cowl pannel and disconnect all the wires.
