Flexplate To Torque Converter

I Just Put A New Timing Chain, Gears, Timing Cover, Oil Pan Gasket, And Reinstalled The Transmision. The Problem Im Having Is I Cant Get The Flexplate Holes Lined Up With The Torque Converter Holes. It Seems As If They Are To Close To Each Other Like The Torque Converter Is Pushing On The Flexplate. Any Help On This Would Be Greatly Appreciated

Re: Flexplate To Torque Converter

Sounds like you have not installed the torque converter properly. When you install it into the transmission, you have to make sure it "seats" all the way on the shaft. Remove the transmission and turn the converter until it seats in the trans. Put the converter on the shaft and turn, and push, at the same time until it pushes back into the trans.

Then re-install the trans. When it is done properly, there should be plenty of room to spin both the converter and plate to line up the holes.
