About A/C accumulator

now I need to replace the hose from low pressure side to compressor. Because there is a leakage on that hose.

So do I need to replace the accumulator? from some online documents, it is said we must replace the accumulator or receiver/drier when the A/C is empty because of leakage. But I asked several autoshops, they all say there is no need to replace the accumulator.

No I am confused which one is correct.

Thanks
