90 Accord reverse idledram615 04-30-2005, 05:10 PM I just recently bought an 90 Accord Ex. Runs real well but when ever it is put in reverse it idles very roughly. It rattles the entire dash. Other gears idles a little rough but nothing like reverse. Any one have any ideas? mwkirchner 05-01-2005, 01:53 AM You might want to have a look at the motor mounts. They tend to dry out and will give you a rough idle. The is also a liquid-filled mount in the rear of the engine. There is a vacuum hose running to it. You may want to check the solenoid that the vacuum hose runs to and make sure it is working. Also check the hose itself. It might have a hole in it or maybe a split. Igovert500 05-03-2005, 02:34 PM You can see what they look like here: http://www.newircusers.com/store/ir10_50454_Motor_Mounts.jsp They are simply the mounts that hold your engine in place...when worn, the engine vibrates. If you do a search you can find tons of info on them. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
