Totalled 325i todaybimmerboi18 04-28-2005, 11:32 PM I finally got my car perfect, after buying the car, and putting like $4,500 into getting it right, it got totalled today. I just got it back yesterday, had new rotors put on the back, and had just renewed my insurance today. I was stopped waiting for the car in front of me to go, merging onto the interstate 10, when this jackass driving a dodge dakota not paying attention, rammed my poor beamer right in the rear. He says he was doing about 50. There is NO rear left on my car. After all that I have no car. I contacted my neighbor, George Healy, to see about suing. I have to, the book value on my car is only like 3 grand, and I have like almost 8 grand in the car. I hope I can get another 325i. I am going to the impound tomorrow to take pics, I will post soon. Wish me luck, I am going to the attorneys office tomorrow. I think its so sad, my poor little car gave its life to save me. Dudesky_E36 04-29-2005, 05:31 AM That just plain old sucks. Sorry to hear about it. But at least the most important thing is you're okay, it probably could have been worse. Salvage any parts you can, so your next 325i buildup won't hurt as much financially. Good luck with everything, hopefully there'll be a brighter side to all this :frown: Skycity_BMW 04-29-2005, 09:59 AM Sorry to hear about your Bimmer . . . . . mazdaspeed88 04-29-2005, 08:03 PM that does suck, but at lest no one was injured. If anyone has any info on a 90-91 325i 4 door, with a 5 speed, let me know, under 120k miles preferred. Thanks guys... Stephen Celsdogg 04-30-2005, 01:03 PM :( it was an E30? sorry to hear about it. another good, well taken care of E30 off the road. :'( csieminski 04-30-2005, 05:09 PM My condolences, really... Too bad insurance companies will always try to haggle with you over what they give you (I've heard they often don't even give you book value) after you've payed them all that money in premiums--for an accident that was totally not your fault. You are obviously fortunate to be OK when the other guy was going 50 mph! It's surpising to me that such a small car can protect so well, but this is not the first time I've heard such a story involving the E30. I'd certainly try to salvage EVERYTHING I could from your wrecked 325i, because it's in no one else's interest but yours to recoup the $8,000 invested.
