ok where to begin. I have an 89 beretta with a 2.8. The car has been towed twice now. My son drives the car for a bit, let's it sit there and goes to start it and it will not start. I have changed the pcv valve, the fuel filter, the temp coolant sensor and the computer. Reason for a computer changed was I was getting a code 43 which is the knock sensor circuit. So I had the knock sensor changed, still got the code 43 then I pulled the computer out of my 92 corsica, which had the same #'s. Code 43 went away.
I ran the car for 15 minutes, let it sit for 20 seconds, started it back up and let it run for 5 minutes. Did some other things on the car and went back to start it about 20 minutes later and the damn thing would not start AGAIN. I am just about ready to blow this car up. I have no further idea on what this may be. A friend of mine said that it maybe the board that lays under the power packs ???? I personally have NO idea !!!!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i noticed that this thread is kinda old but if ya don't have it fixed yet...... I had the same prob on my 2.8 89 GT and I found out that it was the Ignition Control Module underneath the coil packs. I tried the crank sensore first as it was the cheaper of the 2 options but that did not help. Even if ya got it fixed just havin this posted might be able to help others.
We still have this problem, it has been months, we have had it to a mechanic which told us it had a bad injector. That just doesnt sound right since it doesn't sputter or hesitate or anything that would indicate a fuel issue. Most local mechanics tell us that the software on their diagnostic computers does not go back to 1989 so hooking it up to one will not work. I don't know if this is true or not.
So, tell me they #3 reply above does this sound like a good place to start?????
