My car is stalling after about 30 min of driving. From other posts ive read, it seems to be the Torque Converter Solenoid.

WHere is the plug on the outside of the tranny to disconnect it. Drivers side? What colour is it? Size?

dude, i wish i could help u. i was looking for the same thing. even went to the parts store and bought one. mechanic friend said it was inside the transmission fluid pan, but when he took it off, nothing there... u could look there, maybe u might find ur's

i would look on the driverside of the tranny ( the front of car ) for a wire clip or it is behind the pan that faces the driverside tire

To clarify what smokey said. Jack up your car, take off your driver's side wheel. From there, remove the fender well plastic stuff (some bolts and a torx bit or two). From there, you'll see the side of your tranny, specifically this cover which is called the Valve Body Cover. Unbolt it (you may need to jack up the motor to get the bottom bolts, and the top ones are a huge bitch, too). Then, look at your new Solenoid, and find the thing that looks just like it towards the bottom of the valve body addembly. You'll have to splice in two wires for the new solenoid. Also, don't forget to replace the gasket.

ok people if ur car is stalling after driving awhile the torque converter is in the fron of engine on the right side (driver side) it is a light blue color.Unplug it and u only lose about 1/2 mile to the gallon i had the exact same problem take that off no more problems :-)

I have a 94 Cav Z24 that had the same problem, u get about 50-55 mph that is when the Torque Converter would engange and then when u slow down to a stop the car would stall out.

Its easy to unplug the solenoid. Its a Blue Clip that has 3-4 wires coming out of it. I was able to reach from under my car with someone on topside to guide me and unplug it.

Since then the car has been doing fine.
