How to tighten emergency brake cable?

I installed new brakes & rotors on the rear of my '02 GP last month. Ever since, the emergency brake cable is too loose, I can push it all the way down with ease and it's not as tight. How is it tightened?

I know that on this car the emergency brake shoes push outward onto the inner surface of the rear brake rotor, kinda like the old style shoe/drum. Maybe the inside of the new (Wagner) rotors are slightly larger diameter, and that's why it's loose.

I am not familiar with your vehicle because my sister-in-law has the GP, but in all past experiences on this subject, I offer the following. Somewhere between the front parking brake pedal and the rear drums, the brake cable contains an adjusting screw (like a sleeve) and adjusting nut. You simply follow the cable back. If you twang the cable and it flops around, it needs to be tightened--this is really a common sense thing. Tightening these underneath the car usually requires 2 wrenches (preferably NOT adjustable wrenches) and a can of spray (sample: PB Blaster) to loosen rust. It is usually a headache and the rusted condition daunting--especially on an older car, if it has not been adjusted for years. You must hold the sleeve from rotating while tightening up the nut. When you have taken the slack out of the cable, the parking brake will be tight the way it should be.

Wow, thanks guys. kustomkid54, the "shoes in the rotor hub" is what I have. I'll check it out.
