'92 grand prix

my car is not working. it's a 92 Grand Prix with about 130,000 miles. we can get it to start, but it will shut off about 3 seconds later. we've replaced the fuel filter, and ignition coil. next we're doing the spark plugs. i got an oil change about a month before it quit. does anyone have any ideas what it might be? i know a while before it died it would shut off if it idled for a bit. any suggestions would be great! i don't know much about cars so any info i could get would be very much appreciated!

Re: '92 grand prix

Try changing the crank position sensor or the ignition module. Start with the CPS as it is probably the actual culpret since the car starts and then dies. The ignition module can cause similar problems but usually you will have a no start condition.
